The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

I decided to read this book because it's a classic and quite a few people said it was really good.  It's about a shepherd boy who sells his flock to go in search of a treasure that he has had dreams about.  Along the way he encounters many hardships and struggles that try to prevent him from reaching his treasure.  This story pretty much is a lesson on not giving up and to follow your dreams.  It's not my favorite book but it didn't take very long to read so I didn't really mind reading it.
