Mockie Day 2

Mockie got used to us last night and we had decided to keep her in the bathroom while we slept so that she wouldn't get into anything while we were sleeping and if she had an accident, it would be easy to clean up.  Well, after listening to her bark and howl for an hour, she ended up sleeping in the bed with us all night.  She gets some serious separation anxiety!  I didn't really get much sleep last night because she is a bed hog.  She slept down by our legs.  At one point I tried to move my legs into a more comfortable spot and she used it as an invitation to crawl onto my belly so that I could pet her easier!  After laying there for a bit with a monster pup on my belly, I decided to take her out for a potty break.  She doesn't understand yet that she has to use the potty outside.  After I left her on the porch for a while with no results, I let her back in the house where she immediately ran to the hallway and peed and pooped on the floor!  I was so mad!  For some reason she likes to pee in the hallway in front of the bathroom door, both upstairs and downstairs.  I'm not enjoying potty training her.  Today she did the same thing, she won't pee in the bathroom when she's locked in there for several hours but the second she is let out......she runs upstairs and pees on the floor in front of the other bathroom!
Here's Mockie on an attempted potty break which had no results.  She doesn't really know what to think about Hugo and likes to sit on the back porch and bark and howl at him.  She is so cute in the snow!
Here's Mockie after a while outside with Hugo.  She wasn't afraid to go up to him after a while.
This is after Mockie and Hugo were outside together for a while.
She's telling Hugo who's boss right here.  Howling at him.
We were surprised Mockie got this close to Hugo when Chris called her.  At one point she freaked out when Hugo's wagging tail hit her in the face.  She started swatting it with both paws.

Most of the time outside, Mockie hid behind me whenever Hugo came close.
Mockie is running full speed in this picture because she thinks Hugo is chasing her.  She's funny with her ears back.
She likes to sit on that ledge.  Finally a picture where her eyes aren't glowing neon blue!  Please ignore the weeds.
The two finally meet up close for the first time.  Mockie is terrified!  Hugo was so good.  He loves animals but not people.
How can you stay mad at a face like this?!!  Even if she's peed on the carpet 20 times!

We gave Mockie a bath last night before bed.  She was not a happy camper.  It was so sad.  She got so tired of fighting us toward the end.  She is going to have to get used to baths if she is going to be a house dog!

Since she has gotten used to us we have seen her real personality start to come out.  She is cuddly.  She likes to crawl up into your lap and snuggle.  She also likes to lay in bed with us or next to us on the floor to take naps.  She already thinks Chris is the mean one and will run to me occasionally when she thinks she's in trouble with him.  This doesn't mean she doesn't like Chris, last night when he was in the shower she kept going to the back door to see if he was outside.  She is also a sassy little back talker!  We'll yell at her for doing something bad and she'll bark back at us in a defiant tone.  Then when she's satisfied with telling us off, she'll lay down.  I keep trying to remember what Hugo was like as a puppy, and I know he wasn't half as bad as she is.  He was 3 months old when we got him so we attribute her bad attitude to her youth and the fact that she's a sassy little girl.  Be prepared to hear a lot about Mockie from now on.  She is just too cute for me to stop talking about!  Right now she is cuddled up next to my legs, taking a nap while I blog.  Sooooo cute!

Sounds like Naiya! Rob would always yell at her for being bad so whenever she does something wrong she runs to me and hides behind me...so funny! She is adorable! Hopefully the peeing inside stops soon..yuck!
