Chris called me on his way home from work today to tell me that it looked like the mountain behind our house was on fire. This can be a little nerve racking since there is a big field behind our house and it wouldn't be good if it caught on fire. This is what we saw when we got home. You can see the edge of our yard next to the field. There is a road that separates the field from the mountain and there is a canal in that area. It's moving pretty fast but seems to be moving toward the mountain away from our house. We can't really tell if it's gotten some houses yet but there are houses right there where the fire is. Pretty scary. I couldn't imagine how those people are feeling with that fire practically on their doorstep.
