The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

This book was originally supposed to come out in October, but was released early.  So far everyone that has read it has liked it.  It's considered teen fiction and is the first book in a series.  It's about a country of 13 districts rebelling against the Capitol.  The Capitol wins the war and as punishment, destroys one of the districts and creates the annual Hunger Games.  Each district is forced to submit one boy and one girl aged 12-18 through a sort of lottery process.  At the Hunger Games they are forced to fight to the death.  The last person alive is the winner and the district they are from is rewarded for the next year with abundance.  The Hunger Games are televised and are a source of entertainment for the Capitol.  The story follows the main character Katniss as she is thrown into the Hunger Games along with a boy who saved her and her family lives when she was a kid.  She is forced to fight against him and kids from the other districts to the death.  I really enjoyed this book it is a clean book and even though it's a fight to the death, it's not a complete blood bath.
