Fire Update

I awoke this morning to the charming sounds of helicopters flying by my house.  Last night the fire was so bad, they had to evacuate my sister in law and her family.  Chris said it took him 20 minutes to get to our house because of all the spectators that were blocking the road.  There were people lined up along the street with their lawn chairs and drinks.  The fire moved very fast and pretty much the entire mountain has burned.  Chris has a friend whose father is on the fire department and he said the fire jumped the barrier they had and kept coming toward the homes.  There was a wall of flames 30 feet high.  Very scary.  Chris said he was waiting for them to evacuate us and kept debating on whether or not he should call to tell me to come home.  Here are some pictures from this morning.  Our beautiful mountain is burned to a crisp!
