This was probably the best teen book I've read in a while. It had a different concept than the usual paranormal romance that's been plaguing the world.
The story starts out with 16 year old Amy, waiting with her parents to be frozen and taken to a new planet 300 years away from Earth. A couple hundred years later you meet a boy named Elder. He is the future leader of the ship that Amy and several others' frozen bodies are being transported on. After discovering that there is a whole level on the ship he didn't know about, Elder investigates. He discovers the room where all the frozen bodies are located and sees Amy in her glass box. Later, things get crazy when someone unplugs her box and Amy wakes up. Luckily Elder and the ship's doctor arrive in time to get her out of her box before she dies. Amy is devastated when she finds out that she has been woken up 50 years early and has to wait to see her parents. After talking to Amy, Elder realizes that the current leader and his mentor, Eldest, has been lying to him and is keeping secrets. As Elder tries to discover the truth of the ship, someone onboard starts unplugging more frozen bodies, leaving the people in their glass boxes to die.
