Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater

Reader Rating:
When Grace is a little girl, she gets attacked by a pack of wolves. One in particular ends up saving her life. As she grows up, she is obsessed with the wolves, especially "her" wolf. Conveniently, her wolf turns out to be a werewolf her age. I'm not really sure why this book is so popular. I listened to it on audio and the readers were both awful. One example of this was a part when the reader gave a character a southern accent while the book takes place in Minnesota. Throughout the book there were many parts where sentences were spoken with the tone raising at the end as if there were question marks everywhere. Their intonation was all wrong. It got better halfway through as far as their reading and the story line. The book is probably not as bad if you actually read it.
