I saw this movie a while ago with some friends. I didn't really like it. The trailers make it seem like the girl tries to help her family catch her murderer but she doesn't. She just hangs around in limbo and plays with another ghost. I haven't read the book yet but my friends that did said this was not the theme of the book. They tried to explain that she couldn't help them and she tries in the book but this isn't portrayed at all in the movie. It seems like they were focused more on special effects than getting the plot right. At first my friends liked the movie and then changed their mind. Probably from me criticizing it. ha ha.
