This book was on bestseller lists and I was curious. I got the ebook from the library and it was only a couple hundred pages. It's told as a series of short stories about people who work at an international newspaper. I still don't know what to think about this book because all of the short stories end with something bad happening. Ultimately the newspaper closes at the end. One character's daughter dies, another's girlfriend leaves him, a man seeks revenge on a woman for getting him fired, etc. I couldn't give half star ratings so my rating is actually 3 1/2 stars. Some short stories were better than others but overall, I didn't like the negative tone.
